Changing the URL of a facebook group is not as intuitive as you would hope, but it's certainly not hard.

What we're talking about here changing a group URL from something like https://www.facebook.com/groups/578914165472060/ into a named group such as https://www.facebook.com/groups/ajsexamplegroup/`.

1. Go to fb.com
2. (Login, if you aren't already)
3. On the left click the group you'd like to modify (you must be an admin)
4. On the right top bar (part of the group area), click the settings icon
5. Choose Edit Group Settings
6. Click Set Up Group Address
7. The e-mail address you choose will also become the url
