Across the street from the Deribasovskaya park/ Gor-saud is the former hotel "Novaya Moskovskaya" or New Moscow, today this building's upper floors are empty. This building was designed by architect Lev Vlodek in 1910, who also designed the Deribasovskaya's Passaj , and Gogolya 5 and 7.

The building is early decorative modern style, woman's faces, lions, balconies, and ornate sculptural designs decorate this building.

This was formerly the Frantsya (France) hotel in the 1800's. Today it is an apartment house. The famous Russian surgeon Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov resided in this hotel.
